How to avoid second instance?
When I open a one-click link, sometimes a new instances opens. But the first one ist still open and downloading... then they are blocking each other after a while.
How can I avoid this. Is there a system-option, which blocks that (check if JD is already running... don't open another one...)? Thx Last edited by Winf2006; 01.03.2009 at 12:58. |

Normally two instances of JD communitcate via a TCP/IP socket with eachother. Sometimes this does not work properly:
- Any Firewall is blocking the communication Solution: Unblock JD in your firewall. - Windows has been restarted from StandBy/ Hibernate Solution: Close all JD instances and restart JD. |

JD opens a port locally to listen for new instances. If you firewall blocks this, you still can download, but your detection for new instances will fail.
