Deleted links reappear on restart
I deleted links after they were completed, yet when I exit and restart JD shows the old links.
After facing this problem for weeks and not finding a query here, I reinstalled JD and was happily downloading, without exit, for last 3-4 days, but then silly me I did an exit. When i restarted, the last links were missing and I had links from 31 March instead! help. why does JD not resume automatically at the last point after an exit? i am running Vista Home premium 32bit SP2, with MSE as antivirus. I use CCleaner after each browser (firefox 4) session ; would that cause a problem to JD? My uTorrent and Flashget resume normally though. Last edited by Jiaz; 06.04.2011 at 08:40. |

close jdownloader
rightclick your jd folder and properties click security tab and give yourself *full control" rights, click apply then remove "write protection" from jd and subfolders also, how big is your config folder? did you install jd or start it from a zip file?

[Amazing my message vanished when I hit post as it says i do not have permission and have to log in...even tho' I was logged in!?]
full control rights are already set for everyone. Sorry, don't know where to go to remove write protection. Config folder--did not set it as I don't know about it. installed from download from your site. fyi, i now recall that jd originally restarted with the correct remaining original links. it only reverted to the old 31 march links after the update and restart. btw, I don't have Winzip (i see the back ups are Winzip files) but use Tugzip, winrar. etc |

the backups are normal zip files even windows vista/7/winrar... can handle them
if you still loose your links on jd restart, please visit supportchat tomorrow and look for coalado, jiaz or lx1. i will try a teamviewer session and check whats causing it.

Seems to have resolved itself since I restarted from the exe file in JD folder.
Yesterday began with the old links again when I started from the JD shortcut on my desktop, so i deleted these links (again) and closed JD (exit). Restarted from the exe file with one small link grabbed, no old links. Exited again, and restarted from the shortcut and magic! only the one link showed up, grabbed five larger links, downloaded those and exited again. Restarted just now and only these new six links appeared. Crossed fingers! Hope nothing goes wrong when I delete these six, completed links. Thanks again for responding. |
