It's a normal update, JD2 exited, and the update process just begun.
The error appears again and again, if I reply "Yes" to the question "Updates are ready ....Do you want to run the update now ?" or if I click on "Install Now" in the Updater window in an update check.
see Updater_2012-6-11.zip attachment.

After 30 minutes retrying in every 5 minutes, I exited, started again, and now the update OK.

Mmm it's happening the same to me. Also I can't upload a logfile because when I restart JD it's empty (the logfile).

Hello, sorry to "resurrect" the post that way, but I'm having the same problem.
I tried to update java as stated in the post, but did not achieve any effect.

Some other tips to try to solve my problem?

yo, i tried reinstalling numerous times, x32 and x64 versions, but still with the same error, I disabled my anti-virus and firewall thinking that they might be locking in some way, but still the same thing.

The version of Java is this my http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
The latest ... And I did test the site to see if Java is installed correctly and it was.

I also installed JDownloader 0.9, it works almost normally ... There's an error that says my hd is full, but has more than enough room in it.

I don't know what else to do.

@Viikitinhow
Try to run update manually as Jiaz described in post #14 and then post Updater*.log - maybe this will help to diagnose the problem.
