PlugIns Page Poltergeist
I'm having some sudden problems with the Plugins page. I've attached an image for reference
Background: I first began noticing some strangeness in the plugins page while trying to update the package naming format for YouTube crawled channels. The issues started out as being that no matter what variables i put in (*@ID*, *CHANNEL*, etc), it would have NO effect on the packages names like it did before. It would just default to something generic. I thought an update might fix things, so i did. Got the latest update and after that is when i couldn't access the plugins anymore. Every time I select a plugin, it adds another line of the "introduction comment", as seen in the image. Also, you can see at the bottom of the image that some plugins get jumbled together too. SOME do load, but only partially. Current: All other aspects of the program seem to be working fine and normally. And the plugins DO appear to be working using their "last known" settings. I just cant access them to make any new changes. System: Win10 x64 21H2 build 19044.2364 , Intel brain, 24Gb of Free Thought, JDL theme is NIMBUS. If I will have to wipe this out and re-install, will the "back-up settings" capture everything? Including the customizations I've made to the theme, custom even scripts, custom menus, my custom plugin settings, etc? Thanks in Advance |

I'm unable to reproduce this here.
Please post a screenshot of Help -> About JDownloader Quote:

Your JVM is running on the edge regarding available RAM which I believe can be the reason of your troubles.
Open these instructions, scroll all the way down to "possible solutions" and try "Option 1 - the easy way". Once done, see if the problem keeps happening and either way, post another screenshot of the about window. How much physical RAM does your system have? 24GB as mentioned in your first post?

Thanks for the response and suggestions.
Yes, 24Gb is my current system RAM I followed your link and after reading it, I decided that the 2nd option was just as easy (kind of easier, for me) to do. So, I went with that one first and adjusted to 1Gb. Unfortunately, the Plugins page is still misbehaving in the same manner. Just as a side-note; I could not set JDL beyond 1Gb. It caused the program to close immediately upon it's start-up. Likely due to the JVM limitations described in the article you sent. My completed downloads list is fairly long. I like to keep as many entries as possible to avoid dupe downloads. i'm aware this will slow the JDL down eventually. I did take a brave-pill one day and tried to write a script that would have JDL save an eternal "link-log" and then do a comparison against that log checking for dupes. Yea.... it failed wonderfully. I'll spend some time cleaning out my list to see if any affect will be had. I'll aslo try an other suggestions you may have. |

UPDATE:
Cleared out a large number of links and there was no improvement to the Plugins page. If we're out of ideas, then I'll move on to a re-install. You mentioned to make a copy of the install dir; I'll be sure to so that when that time comes. |

https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=83048 When you do this, also install any system installed Java versions (if existent). The new installation will come with a different Java version. If the problem still exists then, please provide a log and be open for doing a Teamviewer live session with us.

If memory serves me correctly, the biggest thing I couldn't overcome was getting JDL to mark the dupes with the corresponding color. This one you provided seems to address that. I don't think we'll solve the PlugIns page issue as it seems to be some kind of internal corruption which a re-install will likely fix and leaving the "cause" unknown. I'll likely do the re-install over the weekend as I'm currently downloading a large collection of videos. I'll leave it up to you if you want to close this thread or leave it open until that's done. Thanks for everything! |

Just installed the newest update. PlugIns page seems to be acting normal.
I would like a couple of days to play with it to make sure all is functioning. Thank you for the fix! |
