Default Not jump to the front...

...just bounce the Dock Icon. When JDownloader needs a captcha, it jumps to the front. I don't like this. Its enough if it's bouncing the Dock Icon. Can I switch this somewhere?

Yes, it seems. See "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dock_(Mac_OS_X)".

The Dock seems to be patented by Apple. See "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dock_(computing)".

Since most of us are living in a neo-communist world where competition between products is rare and only patents count, those companies that want to use the Dock technology will have to pay the current propaganda champion Apple, otherwise they'll be sued.

It highly depends on how the patent is worded/structured. I've been using docks before apple integrated into their OS, though prior art doesn't necessarily void new patents and this is where software based patents become evil. enough said.

Need to wait for the OP to respond to my first reply.

The bouncing doesn't stop after entering captcha's. I'm trying to watch some video and it's pretty annoying.
All or nothing approach:
Quote:
defaults write com.apple.dock no-bouncing -bool TRUE; killall Dock

You can disable it in Settings-Advanced Settings-GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.taskbarflashenabled

Bouncing does only stop when you click on it.
