jdownloader2 - process name not found
Hi all,
as always amazing software. I'm trying to find the process name for jdownloader2 but it doesn't seem to be ps aux | grep jdownloader2 | grep -v grep result is zero. What is the process name for jdownloader 2? |

Is the process name "JavaApplicationStub" if so is that name unique to jdownloader?

Try:
Code:
ps -ef | grep JDownloader When JDownloader is running, you will find a file named "JDownloader.pid" in your JD install dir. This file contains the processID of JD which you can use to kill it too. -psp-

Thank you for confirming it is running on Synology. But I was wondering why the command is working on non synology systems and what command could return the status of the state of with jdownloader is running?

You could either check if the process is running or not or check for the existance of that .pid file. Both will only let you know if JD is running or not. If JD e.g. freezed up you won't be able to tell. Only if you e.g. make JD do something and check if it responds e.g. by using our myjdownloader API you could tell 100% if JD is currently running & responsive or not. I'm sorry but I'm not sure if I've understood your request. -psp-

@snuffleupagus: It highly depends on How you start(directly via jar, Launcher, Stub) and What os you are using.
In case you need further help/got questions on this topic, please ask again.
