Allow downloading only from a specific network interface
Allowing the possibility to use only a specific network interface for download will prevent VPN users to download any files if for some reason their VPN connection fails. This can be very important since in case of such connection error the downloads will keep going using the user's normal connection and will be exposed to their ISPs. Currently the only way of avoiding this would be to keep an eye to the VPN connection status in every single moment and stop JDownloader quickly in case of VPN connection error.
This feature is already included in the Vuze (previously azureus) bittorrent client as an advanced network option. |

If your ISP doesn't want you to download from a particular file host, they'll throttle the traffic or completely block access to it.

And eleven years later...... I ask the same question!
Is the latest version of JDownloader capable of downloading only on a specific interface? I'm using a 3rd-party VPN and would like JD to only download off the VPN interface. If the VPN disconnects, JD would not be able to download. And then when the VPN finally does come back on, JD will continue on that interface. |

@groinksan: That feature does exist since several years now!
See Settings->Connections and there you can also bind to specific IP/network adapter. Please use board search

1. Use a non-headless installation and adjust your settings there.
2. Then copy them from advanced settings into your headless install. The settings-key is: Code:
InternetConnectionSettings.customproxylist
