Default missing extension when filename contains special characters

I have found a bug that's quite annoying.

If the filename of a file I want to download contains either # or & (and maybe other special characters, just 100% about these two), then the file is saved on disk with all characters FOLLOWING this special character cut off, including the file extension.

If it's confusing, here's an example:

original filename
Code:
Tom & Jerry.part1.rar
becomes
Code:
Tom
with no extension whatsoever.

Quite annoying when you have 3 files for example named
Code:
Tom & Jerry.part1.rar
Tom & Jerry.part2.rar
Tom & Jerry.part3.rar
they all become
Code:
Tom
Tom
Tom
and error "file already exists" occurs.

This happened to me multiple times when downloading from keep2share

sample file (it's a RAR archive):
Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**
(no nudity, don't worry)

trying to download either through FlashGot Link -> JDownloader
or simply ctrl+c and paste into LinkGrabber

Please note that the files are displayed correctly in LinkGrabber, but once I click on "Start all Downloads", the filenames get cut off.

Looking into it would be much appreciated, thanks.

That's weird, there must be something wrong with my settings then.

I will try reinstalling JD from scratch, wiping the settings entirely might help.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Isn't need to reinstall. Only delete the folder cfg, and then JD2 will use the default settings.

Note:
I assume you are using JD2.
Make a backup of the folder cfg before to delete it

Greetings,
