Rightclick on the package within the name column, then you can sort the package to name

Jiaz answer is correct!

it works as intended. Name sorting is 0-z and z-0
there is advanced setting to invert the first sort -> GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.primarytablesorterdesc

Please provide example links where sorting does not work. It never failed for me nor did anyone else report errors with it.

I'm sorry but that would require a customized sorter which is not possible at the moment
I don't know any tool that offers this feature.

Extended sorting options

Ignore nonspacing chars
Ignore symbols
Do not differentiate between a half-width and a full-width chars
Treat punctation marks the same as symbols
Treat digits as numbers
Ignore leading non-numeric chars when sorting numbers
Treat full-width chars as 2 chars when sorting by lenght
