Yesterday something interesting happened. I took my laptop to a friends house to download some stuff. All the Mediafire files that had a message of "private file: download not possible" changed to "file not found" Strange. Especially since the file was easily found using a browser or another download agent.
What would cause this? I'd like to continue using JDownloader, it's just the best compared to the others. Except for this one curious thing. Thanks for any help Bill |

What links? we need to be able to reproduce it. So post them here...
Btw jd uses random user agent good luck detecting it's JD.

Hi, when I try to download mediafire links it is telling me that the decrypter is out of date, I tried updating but that tells me the are no updates.

I've tried the first link and it downloads fine. Most problems with jD are caused by viruses and to a lesser degree by firewall software.
If you can download the files with your browser something is blocking jD. I recommend to :- 1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |

This is odd, I just tried them using the linkgrabber and it works fine.
Previously I was sending the links to jdownloader on my server from "jdownloader integration for google chrome" on my mac using the JD Remote Control interface. |

This is simply an error of the program
First i do not understand asking for a "Log File" do not even know how to interpret or understand what it says
Second, the error occurs when the link has an "X", for example: /?5z2n9rpq5rXfbg This bug is on Mediafire and SendSpace. There is no to be an expert to understand one thing so stupid and elementary or ask for a log file Last edited by Lechuza; 22.01.2012 at 12:56. |

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** When you use Click'n'Load, links of SendSpace which possess a "X" appear as off-line. When they are copied from the clipboard links from Mediafire that possess a "X" show the error in the plugin. |

@Jiaz Yes, the MF link also works now when I replace X by x. I suppose it's an issue of case sensitivity. Last edited by remi; 22.01.2012 at 11:56. |

Requested range not satisfable
Keep getting the error when attempting to resume MediaFire dl's.
Only way around is by resetting the dl's, force dl'ing/resuming does nothing. So I'm thinking the plugin is defective. Here's my **External links are only visible to Support Staff**log |

@Chris0089 :
the logfile is incomplete and resume issues are not caused by JDownloader. this is a sign that firewall/av/isp is messing with connection

Yeah it does. I think I found out the problem though. In the link, there's a > sign at the end of it. Once I took it off, it worked fine. Thanks for your time though.

Hi, I have just started to use JDownloader and Mediafire recently.
I also have a premium account with Mediafire added to JDownloader. However, the speed is rather slow (around 400KB/s while my internet capacity is around 1.5MB/s). I have tried to download in other methods and the speed was really fine (around 1.4MB/s). Using JDownloader for other servers seems to be fine. Is there any way to resolve this problem? Dear sir/madam,
I would also like to inform you about a bug I have noticed while using mediafire and dlc files. After having uploaded files to a mediafile folder and then use the link of this folder to create a dlc file, when I open the dlc file in my JDownloader it doesn't show the real names of the files. Instead, it gives the same name (the first file's name) to each one of them. To make myself clear, this is how the list of the files open in my JDownloader when I just add the folder's url: [img=http://img857.imageshack.us/img857/4323/jdbug1.th.png] As you can see, there are three files with different names. And this is how it looks like when I create dlc file from the same mediafire folder: [img=http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/2205/jdbug2.th.png] As you can see, now all the three of them have the same name, the first one's name! Here is the link to the folder: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** and the link to the dlc file created from the same folder: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Thank you in advance for your responses. |

@boyvn91 : make sure to use the same settings as in other tools, check max connections. because idm uses more by default and in jd its 1..this can cause a speed difference!
@mlgr: bug in dlc, i suggest not to use encrypt the mediafire link. better put the direct links into dlc dlc bug will be fixed with next major update

I have the same problem with mediafire...I have to close jDownloader and then start it up again to make files continue downloading, otherwise they get stuck (first I get this message saying disconnected, then there's this icon with 2 blue arrows making a circle). Only the restart of the program helps for one loop until another disconnection.

@ tran5190, @ marhyo
1) All problem reports must include a detailed log file (see my signature). 2) Check the appropriate entries in the Self Help Index (from my signature). This type of problem is usually from trying to download too much at a time. Make sure Max. Chunks=1.

Mediafire is not available on OS-X
The OS-X version of JD apparently does not include the Mediafire host class.
