Or at least please let me know how can I access downloaded files' bytepositions in JD 0.9.581 download database. I keep losing data in long (slow) downloads due to critical bugs of old JD.

Old JD (0.9.581) has the 3 following critical issues :

1.) It doesn't backup downloaded files' byte position during any download at all, it only does it after closing (very critical, essential bug)

2.) When Filehost drops the connection and breaks download (e.g. depositfiles free mode), JD often hangs and can't be closed, so it completely prevents user from saving downloaded files' byte positions of database

3.) It encrypts download database, ultimately preventing the user from fixing any file / byte positions.

This set of 3 serious issues makes JD old version (0.9.581) completely unreliable as for long and/or slow downloads (e.g. in depositfiles free mode).

As I read it earlier, these issues are fixed in JD 2. Please help, give me a link to JD 2 (beta or whatever) or let me know how to access bytepositions in old JD.

Thanx for the help, I've found those links, the cause I've asked the starting question was those links din't work for me. I've found it out how to install it tough using the executable jar updater so the prob's been solved now, I am now having both JD versions and JD 2 seems much better for me even if it's only a beta !

I've found and modified a downloaded file's byteposition, and succesfully restored a broken download from old JD, so now I'm a JD 2 fan

This thread is now confirmed as [solved].

Is there an Offline Setup for the 32Bit version?

(my installation of jD2 became corrupt and I, for some reason unknown to me, can't start the application - JDownloader.exe - or even the standalone updater - JDUpdate.exe; the old version of jD is working fine though)

Edit: I was able to start the updater through the command line "java -jar jdupdate.jar" on the beta (jD2) folder, but it looks like it "thinks" this is the "NIGHTLY" version and not the beta; very confusing...

JDownloader2Setup.exe = Offline Setup for the 32Bit version

don't use JDUpdate.exe (its for JD-stable & JD-nightly)>use:Updater.exe or Updater.jar (for JD2-beta)

download and extract all to JD folder:
updater:
Code:
