well you will have todo what we need, and then email info in to support@jdownloader.org

so when you get problem, you will need to run visualvm, and create a thread dump of JDownloader pid/session.

Hi,

the usual stats on my system:

cpu usage while idle: ~12 to 20% (~5% off due to avast security)
cpu usage while downloading: ~20 to 30%
cpu usage while unpacking files: ~35 to 55%
cpu usage while running parallel with other downloader software: ~35 to 55%
cpu usage while unpacking when working with other java apps: ~35 to 100%

System os: win7/32 sp1 | java 7 on quad core

While running idle jd2 shouldn't use more than 7 to 10%, while completing dls or other heavy tasks max. usage shouldn't crack the max 25% barrier imho.

Gruß

extracting archives will use varying amounts of CPU due to the archive type and compression intensity. You can control the CPU useage in settings (High, Middle, Low), but upside to going high is it's done quicker and doesn't hold up download slot. downside is slows down system performance.

Also remember security software can be responsible for downgrade in performances during downloading or post download.
- live scanners at the socket level or as writing data to disk
- extraction events, writing data to disk.

Confirming that something has happened within the last couple of days. Something appears to get stuck, causing downloads to stick at "Starting ..." and the Linkgrabber to return 0 links.

Log: 06.06.14 02.24.54to06.06.14 02.22.15 jdlog://4659073166931/
Problem seems to have arisen after an update described as "2986_to_3009" in my update log.
