wikifeet - slow downloading
The issue that I have is that when I put a profile in page in LinkGrabber e.g. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
and it gets all all the image URLs, when I start to download that package, it downloads them so slowly , as a speed of only a few KBs/sec. Here is a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/85EU5iV.jpg It doesn't happen constantly, but every now and then it drops to a few KB/s and stays there for quit a lot of time. If I stop/restart package or restart JD, it might download full speed for a few sec, then it will drop and stay dropped for quite some time. Why is this happening? Maybe there's a custom speed limit in the built-in JD rule for wikifeet, to avoid being blocked for downloading too much? I don't have any Speed Limit in JDownloader, nor do I have the "Pause mode" enabled. For comparison, I tried adding the same URLs set in Internet Download Manager (IDM), and it downloads them at full speed (1 MB/sec or more) without any speed dropping. Here is a log while the issue occurs: 04.01.21 18.55.50 <--> 04.01.21 19.02.33 jdlog://6830625302851/ OS: Windows 10 pro 2004 20H2 x64 Java: 1.8.0_162(32bit) JDownloader2 Core: 43552 |

Works fine here.
Sure they could block JD but then it should affect all users. Are you having the same issues when trying again via fresh IP? Does it always happen or only after e.g. downloading the first 100 items? Have you read our slow speed support article? -psp-

Thank you for replying.
Yes, unfortunatgely the issue occurs after trying again via fresh IP. I don't think it has to do with reaching a download threshold, e.g. 100 items, it occurs every now and then: 5 pics might download ok, then for the next 10 the speed will be slow to a crawl. Here is another screenshot from just now: https://i.imgur.com/JdajSEC.jpg At that time, if I stop JD and start downloading the links in IDM, there's full speed. Yes, I have read that article, of course. |

Cannot reproduce the issue, tested several times with max downloads set to max
I guess it's caused by transparent cloudflare image recompression. Quote:
I've seen this happening with other sites in the past as well. Once the file is in cache/recompressed, it works fast and correct. I think it happens for some images that are not in cache/recompressed
