Not sure what version i'm on, must be the latest one i imagine, and it looks great. Much nicer interface, and everything seems to be working very well so far.

Well done.

Angry Evil evil evil

The damn thing won't install; it seizes up part way into installation, with a bad logo showing. I've cleaned out all traces of JDownloader, uninstalled Java RE 6r16 and installed Java RE 6r15. Still the same. Installation never completes. I run a very lean XP Pro SP3 setup with very few installed apps and this is pissing me off. I have gone back to JDownloader 6.111. Forget 0.7.

In previous versions I could download at my maximum download speed (50 KB/s)... but now with this updated version i cant go beyond the 25 KB /s.... and with lots of peaks... certainly this is a problem for me.... i hope someone can help me with this.

the new version is very nice, i did'nt recognize any bug yet, it's realy fast working and it's look wonderful. for me, there must be no other update, just updates for plugins so that all will work perfectly in future

good working!

Using latest nightly now, still one (randomly) of the groups of premium accs become deactivated after restart (haven't noticed "lose" of premiums during downloads as original 0.7 did though), deep unrar seems to be working as it was.

I've voted for "Good", because the native GUI theme is much more responsive than to prior 0.6 version.

But I LOVED the sidebar design in the last version, it was a more comfortable than the current tab interface, because all "current window actions" are there. At the current tab interface I have to look at the top and button to find my desired action. Anyway, the new settings dialog is great to use.

Here's my 2 cents.

The interface at first glance has improved. Its very sexy.

The "Plugin & Add-on" option lacks description for plugins. It would be nice to see a description though currently most of them are obvious.

I am still checking it out, but so far it appears to be a great improvement in terms of speed.

Thanks for the great work.

Thumbs up Latest version

So far this new version is much better. The queuing arrows are back which I like but went missing on the past version. Some host file servers were working again. Download speed seems ok but not really an improvement. Hope it could be faster for it seems to be somewhat slow. But I wonder if an auto resume option was included here as I often have to manually resume those disconnected downloads.

Default Initial thought bad, but in fact good

Main reason for thinking it was bad was the awful Windows 95 appearance on a Mac. Then discovered (in this thread) that I could change it under the user interface settings (which I'd never had to do before). Now looks like a Mac app, so a happy bunny.

Previous version would not automatically unrar and this does.

Overall an improvement.

I voted evil. It's not really evil but it can act evil.

- Does not extract in proper folder => Lose files in thousand downloads
- It disables files for its own reason => When the pc hibernates for example it disables the files that haven't been downloaded so it shows 100% completed package although half of the download is missing. If you remove tha package whoooosh goes the download

Better less bugs than more features or gui improvement. These can come after the thing completely works.

You guys need to set your priorities straight. The gui has changed many times but EACH time there is a bug that if you input data in a textbox you might lose some data in another textbox. Why why why why ??? 100 updates and this still happens!
And now it is worst than ever in a different way! Why???

If the plugins and site related fixes worked in previous versions I would downgrade today.

Better the devil you know!

Thumbs up

Well, JDownloader is a good program by itself with a lot of good intentions, but its versatility tend to reduce the expected performance. In my case, I have problems not resolved since version 0.4.x pertaining to netload's plugin and download speed on determined hosters, inter alia.

In my humble opinion, JD Team makes a great constant job satisfying several new wishes, but I think that is reasonably convenient rely on a stable program, maybe procuring updates of the current bugs promptly.

I will continue supporting JD and please receive my sincerest congratulations.

I must say this version is way better than others before.

They fixed many problems with some server as mega-shares and others, but this version mess up with something very important, the download speed.
My download speed is around the 180 to 200 Kb/s, with this version it drops to 70 or even lower sometimes.

I really like the changes as i said but, if you're going to improve something don't mess up with something like the dd speed, every good thing you had done will make no difference if dd speed of the program gets that slow. I rather keep using an older version that doesn't have this speed problem or start using others programs like flashget even if it is not as good as this one.

I hope this problem will be fixed soon, i really like the new gui.

Hi! An error that exists is that after downloading and extracting finishes, JD doesn't delete the rar files! Maybe you could look at it! Thanks!

Default I Change My Vote

I voted evil evil evil because I couldn't get 0.7 to work but after a little tweaking I got it up and going and I like the new interface, love the muli-password entry area, and a number of the other new features. I change my vote to good good good.

I do still seem to occasionally get prompted for passwords that are already in the password list though, so maybe that needs to be looked at. Otherwise good job.

Some work the jD Team do might be useless, because the update server is no longer operational. A revision to a plug-in might be outdated before it arrives at the customer's end.

Please, read.

Yep and this happens sometimes but we fix it very fast and when the single plugin update works again we'll update it as fast as we can!

Question Mac OS 10.5 version available for a free download???

I wish I could download the Mac OS 10.5 version for free.

When I select the Mac OS 10.5 version I am swept away to a site whereby I have to Pay $$$$ to join to download. I wish it was posted to RapidShare since I have a paid premium/high speed download account.

Therefore I can't honestly say it's good or it's evil.

You neither have to pay for uploaded download, nor for bluehost! you can also download from rapidshare, because the windows/linux versions are all the same

The "uploaded.to" link is free. Like all hosting sites it tries to seduce you to pay for a premium account, but you can get the file without doing so.
