I mean... I copy the URL, it comes up with this message, I click "Process Playlist" and it goes away, and nothing happens. I tried to do it every video individually, but the reason I want to do it with the playlist is cause there are quite a lot of videos

looks like more changes on site, playlist parser no longer works

Just for you to know, there is a crawling indicator icon in lower right corner, once that is done, then crawling is finished, no need to wait longer than that.

Meaning: You won't succeed with anything >100 items with JD2 for a while for reasons explained above, even if the "playlist parser no longer works" issue (btw discovered/confirmed by myself today) gets momentarily fixed.

Meanwhile, you can use 4k Video Downloader for that, because
either a) their parser works differently
or b) they already fixed the issue in 4.13.3.3870 of 21 Oct 2020.

This is my worst nightmare. 4k video downloader is basically unusable for my purposes. To crawl one channel with a few hundred links, it has taken almost a day and still not finished, whereas jdownloader took just a short wait. yt-downloader also proved unreliable downloading only a few when I tried it. Maybe the new change affected it as well.

I mean to download more than 10 vids in a playlist you have to pay a subscription, also to download all videos on a channel. Wish JD2 had this stuff, but I guess its copy-pasting time

I downloaded hundreds and hundreds of videos yesterday. Crawling a channel with ~200 videos took only a couple of minutes (and as opposed to JD2 it shows the progress) and downloading with 3 parallel threads finished as quickly as possible with the given bandwidth.

Either your version is outdated, or your experience is outdated, or your internet connection has issues, or your ip has issues, or your installation has issues, or your system has issues. JD2 (which I switched to from 4k VDL for good reasons years ago, after having used it for other stuff than YouTube already since ages before anyway) rn doesn't work at all, so your reply is not helpful.

Edith, regarding your last sentence [unless that was referring to yt-dl only!]: I specifically stated that said issue is either fixed in the named version or has never affected 4k VDL at all for the mentioned reason. Did you even read what you replied to?

Well yes, but actually no. 8)

Wish JD2 had this stuff,
Technically JD2 has all that and is by far superior due to its highly customizable settings. With 4k VDL you can't even number the damn playlist or channel downloads sequentially, which makes the result an unsorted mess. But still, it's better than nothing. What I'm missing the most in JD2 is 4k's channel subscription functionality tho.

@JDmurphy
No matter which software you are using - it will always have to cope with Googles changes - only if it's using their API it won't have to.
How does your mentioned application handle this?
Is it open source too?

I don't (well, ok ... not exactly at least) and to me it obviously isn't because of what happened and didn't happen ever since it was.

image only shows up to support people, this is the case due to people uploading content which leaks personal information ip/cookies/etc. Please wait for someone to respond.

in respects to youtube check the youtube thread, there is an outstanding playlist svn issue ticket.

I have fiber optic and ryzen 3600 and gen 4 ssd all top of the line. It must be because I'm running the crawling in vmware because the app is pirated. I'm just using it until jdownloader is fixed and not buying it.

Please create a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
Enable Debug Mode first, see Settings-Advanced Settings-Log.debugmodeenabled
restart JDownloader, try to reproduce the issue, create log and post logID here

Oh really? I didn't even know that could happen, thanks, I'll see about restarting my router later or something and trying again. (Bit odd, I haven't downloaded to much from youtube lately compared to what I usually do)

@Xirix: yes, that can easily happen with too much activity(eg many videos, playlists, shared IP...) waiting some time or IP change should help. The factors on how/when blocking happens are unknown

PLAYLIST_POSITION is slightly wrong in some cases.

For example here **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

video number 51 in the playlist receives PLAYLIST_POSITION 49 (instead of 51) in JDownloader.

@SMS: List contains duplicates and JDownloader doesn't process/add the same item multiple times, Item 1 and 47 are the same links. And because of that different position
