Exclamation [NOT a JD issue] Krakenfiles.com

Krakenfiles hasn't worked for me for a while. JD just says "host problem"

Here is one workaround you could try:
Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Search for "bouncycastle" -> Enable -> Restart JD and try again

If that doesn't work:
Looks like a possible firewall/AV issue or your ISP is blocking here.
Can you download fine via browser?
Try to use a VPN/proxy and see if it works then.

sorry for the late reply! I enabled Bouncy Castle and restarted JD and it still gives the same message "Host Problem" .... And yes, I can download fine via browser (Mozilla)!

Jiaz will have to further investigate this - it's still an SSL related issue...

Which Firewall/AV software are you using?
Turn it off and try again!

so, now it works intermittently ... lol ... for example, yesterday it worked for 5 separate downloads, but not today ... (and it's not a delay due to downloading, as I had not downloaded anything from that site in months before it worked yesterday)

I only use Spybot and Malwarebytes and standard Windows Security, but they are not blocking it (I can still access through Mozilla, etc.)

That doesn't mean anything.

Please fully uninstall all AV software except Windows defender (that's all you need anyways) and try again.

Otherwise we won't make any progress here...

I don't think it's a firewall issue. I killed Spybot/Malwarebytes through task manager and it didn't change anything.
However, it sporadically worked again today for a short time. And it's not the website itself (e.g. non-premium delay), as I can go to it and download directly when it doesn't work in JD.

Here is the log for that time when it worked today ... maybe you can see something there: 25.02.21 18.46.10 <--> 25.02.21 23.55.36 jdlog://6816725302851/

Sorry I'm out of ideas and unable to reproduce this issue on my side.

no worries ... thank you for looking into it ... luckily, JD makes it easy to just let it run and retry until it works sporadically ;-D
