Default How safe is Jdownloader ?

Hi, please share your experice using Jdownloader. Does any viruses/malwares (hidden) gets downloaded along with the files?

if you add links which are virus/worms/malware that are uploaded to sites in which we have plugin support for, you can easily download them. It's no different than in your standard browser or other download clients in respects to that.

JDownloader downloads what you tell it to download.
If the files are infected, they will be infected if you download via browser, JDownloader, wget or any other tool. There are no hidden downloads.

I will mark this topic as solved as your question got answered. Of course you don't have to trust us

I personally believe it's not our place todo that. It's what security software is for, if you wish to use it.

I agree with raztoki. Leave security/protection to dedicated software created for that purpose
