My proxy handles SSL well. yet, I still cant use RS using jDownloader!

we now use ssl download by default for premium (it no longer costs extra rapids, see their api docu) but unfortunately jd stable seems to have problems with ssl and http proxy.

Thank you. After last update - my rapidshare account recognized successfully.

i have a premium rapidshare account that used to work fine with jd.

some days ago it started showing up as invalid.:huh: simultaneously my free fileserve account showed up as invalid as well. my rs account works fine with other download managers.:P

i uninstalled jd, downloaded jd from here again, and re-installed it, now both accounts show up as unknown:huh:


I re-installed jd:
1. in a separate c:\ directory, not program files, as it has been recommended
2. allowed it in avast and windows (vista ultimate 32) firewall, along with java.exe and javaw.exe. i run the jdupdate.jar with jd closed

java is the latest update Version 6 Update 24

1.) rapidshare answer is blocked by firewall
2.) remove java and use javaRA to remove rest (google for it)
2.1.) install java again, your installation is broken

i removed java cleaned up with javara and some additional reg cleaning, reinstalled java and my rs premium account appears as valid now!!

there was no blocking from the vista firewall, and the rapidshare url was already in avast exclusions

If you have not reinstalled Java yet, please try 6 update 17 or 6 update 21 -- Not 6 update 24. We have some questions about updates 22-24.

btw, on java.com i don't seem to be able to find older versions of java. i did find 6 update 21 on oldapps.com though
