After years of faultless updates, I hit a snag last week. The update never finishes, although after the update failure I can continue to use JD2 just fine.

I followed the instructions on uploading a log and sending it to my "supporter" but am unclear about that. This is my first significant problem in my many years of using JD2!!

The log associated with the update failure says this:

org.jdownloader.update.SelfUpdateException: Unexpected Selftest Result: FAILED org.jdownloader.update.lastchance.FailedException: org.appwork.updatesys.client.defaultimpl.http.NoConnectionException: Could not Connect to

Firewall/AV is blocking access to update server

Please setup your firewall/av and/or put JDownloader to exclude list
