Analyse links - favor NOT using webp?
When using the Ctrl-L Analyse Links dialog, is there a way to tell JD to not use WEBP for downloads and instead favor JPG? I've got some sites that will provide either but I'd prefer to download the jpegs instead.

No not inside the "add links dialog" but depending on where you are trying to download from, you can find options under: Settings -> Plugins -> nameOfWebsite.
JDownloader is not a convert tool so if the desired format is not provided by the website serverside and/or JDownloader does not provide an extra setting for it, you need to use external converters to get your desired format.

@wkearney99: Are you adding webp links? Can you provide examples?

I don't have links to share at this time, sorry.

I understand, and that's not what I'm asking. I'm already doing the conversion externally, after downloading. I'm asking if there's a way to change what image formats JD will request when connecting. As in, don't tell the website it can accept webp. This avoids getting the wrapped format webp entirely.

That depends.
Quoting Jiaz: Without example links, it is impossible to answer your question sufficiently.

@wkearney99: without example links we can't test/tell if you can tell the server can serve different format or not. Just report back when you find time and can provide example links

Then let me approach this from a different angle. I know the URL will be coming from a certain host. Is there a way to re-write the URLs that are collected from an Analyse Links dialog, so that anything from that host with a filetype ending in .webp is instead downloaded as .jpg?
somehost.whatever/image.webp gets re-written as somehost.whatever/image.jpg |

@wkearney99: see answer of raztoki for simple URL rewrite but please know that sites also may check for headers and still serve webp and don't care about extension in the URL. many services do check headers and not URLs, eg cloudflare.
