Linkgrabber modules gone haywire! (avaxhome.ws decrypter groken)
For the most part, jD parses the URLs very well. However, there are times when it runs into what seems like a brick wall, which causes it to go into an infinite loop and I can't stop the damn thing because the close or "X" button is greyed out (see the attachment). I tried to terminate the loop by restarting jD, but it was of no use. It reared its ugly head as soon as it was restarted. In the meantime, this thing is eating up a lot of CPU. How do I get it to stop?
Here's the log file, just in case it might come in handy: http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/53878 I believe this is the offending URL: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** What seems to be causing the loop are the URLs pointing to other webpages at the bottom. Is jD set to monitor the clip board and are the links still copied in your clip board when you restart jD?
Not sure why the X is greyed out but if one of the links leads to a site that is down and you have checked the box to check link info and online status it will cause the add list to stall if an inaccessible link is in your clip board. Try pasting the clipboard somewhere and copy some non-linking/regular text (test/ABC/what not) then open jD. Does the problem still persist? |

Mine's just started crashing too. Happens as soon as I press the "Add URLs" button and it doesn't add clipboard links any more...
:( -edit- Uninstalling and then reinstalling JDownloader seems to have fixed it. How the hell does that happen? Last edited by bemymonkey; 23.09.2011 at 11:18. |

If re-installing jD was the solution to your problem then that means your jD installation was corrupted.
@peachfuzz I've experienced this problem as well, but it was always solved by restarting jD. I don't know the cause of this problem. I've been able to stop link checking by clicking on the red icons and I don't know why these icons sometimes turn grey and are unstoppable. Please wait for a jD programmer to analyse your log. |

Why would a jD installation become corrupt over night? It was working fine just yesterday...

Disk problem, cosmic particles or update that failed to name a few possible causes.

Post #2 is a good suggestion, no need to re-install JD. Check Windows task Manager if using Windows, javaw.exe might still be running.

avaxhome.ws decrypter seems to be broken.
