i been using the beata for a while now and it has been fine, all i can suggest is that you delete the old jdownloader and then download the 917 build. I mean actually delete the jD folder itself, on my laptop i had a problem where i could not get jD to show up yet the jaw.exe started i tried to replace the files etc and that did no good. I delete the entire folder jD was in downloaded a new one and put it back in the same location and it started to work.
This means you will have to re configure your settings and premium account again |

This program is too good, but these frequent updations are boring me very much, anyways let's solve the current problem First of all, ======== make sure you have not installed splash killer(? if not heard about it leave it) Second step ========= goto firewall settings and remove all the entries in the exception list name "JAVA (TM) PLATFORM SE BINARY" Third step ======== terminate javaw.exe from the process list using taskmanager Fourth step ======== delete the current jdownloader folder and download the newest version of jdownloader, extract to any convenient location using winrar or 7zip (Here I prefer C:\jdownloader as an example) Fifth step ======= make a bat file using notepad (filename : "anyname.bat") with its content (text) as [better copy the following text and paste it there] : cd "c:\jdownloader" java -Xmx512 -jar jdownloader.jar exit save it anywhere and double the file "anyname.bat" that you have just saved Now if you have windows firewall active, a window will popup asking whether to block or unblock? click on unblock Now jdownloader will start Sixth step ======= configure jdownloader to suit your needs (such as target folder, reconnection scripts ...etc) After configuration jdownloader will( or rather 'should' ) load . If anything goes wrong then the only thing should be the problem with your java installation. Hope this helps Thanks for reading.... Good luck Last edited by Jiaz; 06.09.2009 at 15:21.
