Default JDownloader2 VPN/Killswitch

Hi,

I am using a small debian machine for downloading. It has VPN access (cyberghost) using openvpn.
What I want is, that JDownloader2 should only download if the VPN is up and NEVER use normal network. (alternatively it would be nice, if JDownloader2 could re-enable VPN).
Does anyone know, if there is a possibility to achieve that?

thanks in advance,
Otto

Although Cyberghost is supposed to automatically enable the kill switch without user intervention it does not from other reports.

According to this article, the kill switch for Cyber Ghost is automatically enabled with no way to disable it.

There is no kill switch, you can easily test it yourself. Just make a ping to google, then close cyberghost.exe in the task manager and you will see that there is no interruption, also your network icon is not showing that it is disconnected. Cyberghost is NOT safe.

I apologize for the slightly unrelated question, but which third party alternatives would be good to add to our already embedded VPN Killswitch? In order to avoid Killswitch failures or security blunders. For Windows OS, Mac, Linux, etc...

If you ask me, this is not our job - get a software that does this for you.
