Default Links online but doesn't download

Hello,

I recently created a .dlc file made up of 45 Mediafire links. I created it in the traditional way of adding all the links and making a .dlc file out of the package. So, I don't think there is any room for blame in that end.

Ok, now here's the real problem. I add the .dlc file via "Add Container" option. The package loads up fine and the links are all online when properly checked. When I click on "Continue with All", the progress bar shows up on all 45 links and it doesn't download a thing. I left it on the whole night and nothing in the morning. Not even 1byte.

My settings in the bottom right area are:

Max. Con.: 20
Max. Dls.: 1 (I set it to 5 as well but same thing)
Speed: 0

Usually, if I add anyother container, it downloads. But, those containers are no more than 7-8 links. Plus, when I add them, it downloads each link 1 by 1. In the Mediafire container I have, it starts downloading all 45 at once. Which, of course, is not needed or even wanted.

In the end, my questions will be that:

1. Is the .dlc file corrupt in some way?

2. How can I make it download only 1 link at a time and continue to others when it is done with the previous?

3. Is the simultanious downloading of 45 links while the Max. Dls. settings are either 1 or 5 causing the problem?

Thank you very much for taking your time to read and understand my problem and a thanks in advance for any useful support provided.

Jump on IRC and we can do a teamviewer session. There should be no reason for the download from not at least starting some of the links. http://jdownloader.org/knowledge/chat

I entered my nickname and captcha but it doesn't seem to let me type anything. When I do, it gives me a red message stating "Can't use this command". Basically, what do I do to get in the chat channel? I haven't used IRC much so, please don't mind my beginner-like questions.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm in.

Thanks a bunch mate. And for everyone who might have the same issue:

The solution was to reduce the Max. Con. from 20 to 4. :D

nar that wasn't it, it was because the TOS wasn't agreed too. But reducing the connections is a wise idea as our current releases drops all connections if a associated chunk connect drops. That and your previous setting of 20 connections on 1Mbit was a few too many.

I know reviving this thread isn't the smartest of all options but, it seems I've run into the same problem again. The TOS doesn't pop up and the download just sits there. The connection settings are 4 as how you set them for me and everything is the same. How did you manage to get the TOS message to come up pretty much automatically when I'm doing the same thing as you did (in that teamviewer session)?

P.S. It's Mediafire I'm downloading from again. What I did to try and troubleshoot it is that I went into Settings>Hosts>Mediafire and unticked "Accept". It didn't seem to solve the problem. One note is that I've only used JDownloader the first time since my last problem you had fixed so, Mediafire was the only host that had its "Accept" box ticked. I'm thinking that's due to the fact that it's TOS were "Accepted"?

The TOS pops up only once and should stay accepted, if not then tick it as accepted.
Mediafire sometime needs more time to start.

It's not just Mediafire now, mate. It's doing with nearly every single host I use. Now, I'm trying it with 7-8 links package from another host which I haven't even used with JD yet and same problem, links online, everything checks out fine; Once I start the download, it's sit there and don't move. No TOS popping for that either.

Restarded JD as you said for the log file and it started downloading! O_o

Lol, anyway thanks a BUNCH for the support you offered and the support you were still offering. If you still need my log file let me know. But, it has no error in it as far as I can guess.

make sure your firewall or antivirus software isn't interfering with JDownloader. You will need exemptions for java.exe javaw.exe and jdownloader.exe within those protection software packages. Don't forget those packages also have live web/link scanners/sheilds which change html you need to make an exemption for that section or disable that feature.

your orginal post koef never indicated either way, usually when multiple plugins are failing its due to external factor as mentioned in my orginal post. Protection software upgrade and or includes new features which can break jd . But yeah log might help us determine what the cause is.

@koef

So I assume it was the protection software then?

good to see that you resolve the problem!

The log shows you did not press the start button.
Check the "Start after adding" in Linkgrabber pane.
