Files keep saying "Connection timed out" and then reset.
I have been using Jdownloader for 2 years or so. Never had this problem.
I am using uploaded.net and everything was working fine until a few weeks back. Now when i download files, it keeps randomly saying "Connection Timed Out" then stops and says "Disconnected? wait for so and so minutes". Then i have to click resume or reset and it starts all over again. I went online to check some forums and stuff, and someone mentioned reducing the Max. number of connections per file to 1. I originally set it at 20 and never had an issue till now. Now when i set it to 1, my download speeds are so slow. Normally i get speeds up to 1 mbps but now i get 100 to 300 kbps. I don't want to have to be stuck using 1 connection per file and forever have slow downloads. Is there some issue with Jdownloader updates or something to do with the Uploaded host? Any known issues? I know the rules say search before posting but you do know there are a ton of threads in the forum and its like finding a needle in a haystack. Please help, someone. |

Max con has been set to 1 now. and Max dls as well. Speed is 0 (default).
Firewall used is the windows firewall. I have already allowed java.exe and javaw.exe for both version 6 and 7. Also allowed Jdownloader.exe. Antivirus used is Avast which i have been using for a year now and never had issues. |

how do i get the log?
http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/111499 I've submitted the Log file as a .rar file due to size restrictions on .txt files. Its pretty long but check the recent areas to see if you can find. firewall/antivirus issues, recv failed
Need to make sure and maintain exemption rules after say java auto updates, it installs to a new path! Also some security products have new features like live scanners. They can mess with chunking. They also need to configured. if you google 'securityproductnamehere site:board.jdownloader.org' you will find many results, with answers/screen shots. if all fails you can try to set chunks (max con per file) to 1 and right click reset. this will try to download with one chunk instead. raztoki

Yes, i have done that. i have resetted it to 1 chunk. But it makes my downloads slow and the whole point of this thread is to find out how to stop this from happening so i can keep it at 20 connections per file.
i had added java and javaw as well is jdownloader to exclusion list in firewall as well as avast antivirus. But i tried downloading at 20 cons per file and still got time outs. I'll attach the log. http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/111505 Last edited by raztoki; 05.06.2013 at 15:55. Reason: put log into pastebin |

please use the pastebin http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/ and not upload raw files to the forum. logs can contain personal information.
caused by you not having enough bandwidth do not use 20 chunks set max chunks to 1 to 4 do not use 20 right click reset start downloading, see if issue is resolved.

Okay. I'm not sure if i used the pastebin correctly, but this is the link i was given.
http://jdownloader.net:8081/pastebin/111506 I tried one at 20 cons and one at 4 cons. I've been using 20 chunks all the time, how come suddenly now it stops working? Even using 1 to 5 i still get the same time outs. |

in post http://board.jdownloader.org/showpos...7&postcount=10 did you search your security products, and make sure its configured correctly ?? for instance avast ??
http://board.jdownloader.org/showpos...14&postcount=7 I'm running out of ideas, most home connections can handle 20 connections but not much more than that. JD download core can not handle socket issues so one goes down they all do! Hence why its better with less chunks as its reduces the risk of failure. Hence my previous response, as the next thing down the list of possibilities.

I did check my avast. Settings were as per usual as before. Added JD and java and javaw to exclusion list. I even tried disabling my antivirus and then tried downloading again. still got connection time outs.

It's not JDownloader's fault.
Try the download again on your web browser, and you'll no doubt find that the download gets cut off there too. This is a problem with Uploaded.net. People have bumped against the same thing throughout the world. It more or less depends on where you live and your ISP. I've never had as much hair-pulling and teeth-grinding with other file hosts as Uploaded.net. If you see links with 1GB split files hosted on Uploaded, and there are alternative file servers, TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM MORE PAIN, YOU SHOULD DOWNLOAD FROM THE OTHER SERVERS. Seriously, UPLOADED JUST DOESN'T WORK. Last edited by loderunner; 25.07.2013 at 15:37. |
