Default RSS Feeds (Automation of Downloads)

Hello,

I would really like to see a jdownloader plugin that reads RSS feeds and allows for automatic download from these feeds by use of filters. This would allow unattended downloads from your RSS feed. This feature is in many other download mangers, would be very nice to see it in this great download manger.

The feature once existed, but has been removed.

Feature #451 - RSS auto-downloader/reader feature

Interesting, why would they even remove it in the first place? I see the other posts on this topic (http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=6740) from a while ago. Can not believe that people have not been jumping up and down for the feature, yet.

Because there is no dev to maintain this plugin.
But everybody is welcome to do so. =)

If you can find someone who can program in java, please let him/her read instructions for potential jD developers.

If you want a good rss feed parser/filter
I recommend "flexget". It is already used for famous bittorrent clients (deluge, transmission...)

It is highly customizable and you can add downloads in jdownloader automatically using the "exec" output plugin. For example:
exec: c:\\JDownloader\\JDownloader.exe "--add %(url)s"

Enjoy
