Automatically create and name download directories from source URLs
I am going to download a lot of images from many different pages (on the same website) and I'd like to do it in one process. In order to keep everything sorted I'd need to get download directories to be created and named after the source URLs.
I.e. I want to download images from example.com/images1.html to a folder named example.com/images1.html, images from example.com/images2.html to a folder named example.com/images2.html and so on. Bonus points if anyone can figure out how to only keep the relevant part of the URL for the download directory name. I.e. get the download directories to be automatically named images1 and images2 by filtering away the irrelevant parts of the URLs. Thanks in advance for any help! |

We need real example links, then we can help. Should be easy to do once you provide example links, as the regex/example rules depend on your input urls.

Could you send the e-mail again? I had an old e-mail address linked to my account which I can no longer access. I have now updated it so that my account is linked to my new e-mail address. Thanks and sorry for the mistake.

I have not answered yet, did not find time. Best would be to write to support@jdownloader.org with your updated email.

I have realized that JDownloader is not designed for this kind of task. So I will try with other softwares, mainly web crawlers, as suggested on the #jdownloader IRC channel.
