Default Keep2share invalid crc in too much links

Hi, i'm having trouble with this host since several days. Downloads start normally with captcha but when end i got messages of "invalid crc" and the file is damaged. I tried to reset links and it works, but it's not normal that it happens. It's the only host that shows this situation.

Here is my log

11.05.15 17.03.35to11.05.15 18.21.36 jdlog://7002609980341/

Thanks!

ok, the reason I asked is

CRC issues can come from bad hardware on your computer/network or the hoster.
But we commonly see it from caused by security software, hence the reason I asked.

My guess is also hardware issue. Download is fine but CRC is wrong. I checked file here, here all fine.

Yeah i think is something random. I downloaded the file several times and got crc error in internal files randomly. Sometimes are the file number 25, other 42, other 100 and 102.. This host is having lately a big problem with speed and connection fails. So, when link is retried to to download, it resumes since the last point of error. I think is something with resuming file.

Thanks!

Did you check your disk for smart errors (use a tool that shows smart issues on disk) and also check your memory with memtest.
When it happens because of resume, then it is caused by Firewall/av/HArdware issue. JD is CRC error free since 2008.

maybe not for this topic, if JD terminated by user and resumable incomplete file(with .part extension) moved manually to another drive. jd still continuing downloading. and file is corrupted. real size but crc wrong. file has dummy data. is it possible to check target file exist or deleted (ask me for move it to first folder ?.sometimes I moving movies, tv shows to another drive (too many folders and some of them incomplete downloads with .part extension.)). same crc error for sometimes JD crashing with high ram usage or power loss. result: crc incorrect (not always but sometimes.)

@Jiaz, can you make ticket for this problem ? (maybe I posted same problem several yars ago but I dont remember now)

Fine, i'm changing now the directory of donwloads only for k2s to a new disk i installed in january. I'll make the test with 5 links (of above 200) to see. I can't make a memtest right now because it takes too much time and the other links are downloading some fine.

I'll post results.

Thanks!

@maynak00: this is already fixed in upcomming downloadcore. + JD allows to change folder and then handles all part moving.

@emilio530:
Thanks, waiting for some feedback

Hi, i just ran a memtest and the results were ok. No memory problem. Passed an chkdsk to disk and nothing happened.

The links i changed to new harddisk gave error again. 2 files downloaded fine and 3 crc error. I downloaded the same link using direct download in firefox with DTA extension, got the same result. CRC error. The connection was uninterrupted. I don't know what could be...

I understand that apparently i'm the only one suffering this problem. So it's possible by my location k2s is serving me a damaged file, the original could be damaged, but the files i downloaded are the same size but both have crc error in different files.

With this test is not a JD issue, i'm sorry for bothering with that.

Next step is try to download in my cell phone or another machine..

Thanks!

Locally i'm not using proxy, but don't know if my ISP is using one. I will try using a proxy in firefox to determine if the quality of file served is good or not.

Thanks!

Also check firewall/av settings. Some might cause data corruption. Thanks for feedback and good luck finding the cause!

Hi, i just made my testing today, while seeing the Barcelona match that won the spanish league.. I'm quite confused with results i got with this tests but i'll tell to see..

1) Downloaded two of the links in a laptop in my same wifi. Got one corrupted. (Network issue??)

2) Used proxy to download, trying to see if its a location problem, got corrupted too in hdd installed in january.

3) Used proxy to download to temp folder in c:.. All links downloaded fine via Firefox. So, tried to download with JD to same folder and all links downloaded fine.

4) All the downloads to temp folder got good speed of above 30Kbps..

5) Started defragmenter to old disk and tried to download with no proxy. Got low speed of 10Kbps or less but not crc error.

6) It only happens with k2s links..

My conclusion is as you told me at firts time, and hdd problem, but it seems to fail because of the hdd was fragmented and is a 750Gb partition. I guess the hdd driver takes time to find a places to put file parts and it makes a timeout or something.. I dunno. Hope your thoughts on this and maybe a help to get my JD downloading again as before.

Thanks!

Edit 1 (10 minutes later): again getting low speed using temp folder. I think there is a network issue combined with the hdd problem. Bad mix, by the way...

Edit 2: again getting crc error, links donwloaded to temp folder. I don't know what to do from now. I'll start testing my connection to k2s hourly to see if it's a problem with my hour of connection. My first test doing ping to slow-150.keep2share.cc is giving lost packages.

1.)Try without wifi
2.) Uninstall firewall/av and test with a "clean" system. clean = no firewall/av that could mess with connections
3.) check router/modem for internal firewall. disable them

Did you check if crc also happens with other hosts?

Hi, crc is only happening with k2s.

The ping tests i've made since sunday tells me over 200ms pinging slow-15x.keep2share.cc and A LOT of missing packages. Seeing this result i decided to add **External links are only visible to Support Staff**www.uploadable.ch to my test and got some low pinging, but still over 200ms (some times got over 600 and another over 1000!!) I traced the route to slow-15x.keep2share.cc and got nothing 'cause there is some server that forbids this test and the measure fails.

I decided to slow down the speed of JD2 during day to see what happen and got less crc errors (from almos all failed before to 2 links today). I would like to limit only k2s and allow the others to use the max speed available at the moment.

I'm still testing hourly the behavior of this connection to that servers, but lowering the speed seems to be a good solution till now. When i get good info from the pinging test will make analysis and post here.

Thanks!

limiting specific hosts is not possible yet. In case you need this I suggest to install a seperate JD and use it for k2s only. Thanks for keeping us up2date

Hello guys - i have exactly same situation right here (no firewalls or other security software at this computer, direct connection, no wi-fi).

When I've opened this crc-errored (binary!) files with regular notepad - I've found the string "401 Unauthorized: Temp URL invalid" in the first line of these files. So maybe it's the sign that something wrong with Keep2share plugin?

Default keep2share.cc and CRC errors

Hi,

In the last weeks I'm having lot of [MD5] CRC Failed errors with keep2share.cc (almost every fail). If i download it from a web browser like firefox it works ok.

I must say that i don't have any other problem with others hoster (they work great)

I have firewall and antivirus disabled, and max chunks to 1. In fact i don't have a premium account, so as a free mode I think only use 1 connection, I'm right?

Here is an example log extract. File size seems to be ok at the end, but the crc validation fail, and for example this file that's zipped throw an error when unzipping (so it really seems to be an error when downloading and because of that the crc failing)

Code:

Do you know if there is any problem with this hoster? Any other thing to try?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, i have 2 instances of JD2 running.. There will be three then, lol...

My testing of ping is giving the same results all the day. Minimum of 200ms and maximum of 600ms during the day.

Thanks for the assist, i'll set up a third instance only for this to see what happen.

Hi, i got the same problem, i fixed it lowering the speed of jd2. If you want to see the complete case, search the topic for "Keep2share invalid crc in too much links".

Well at least I'm not the only one! Thanks for your quick response!! I'll try your suggestion.

Sorry mods, didn't saw that thread, but think is a duplicated issue then, so you can close and will continue in emilio530 thread.

Hi emilio, thanks for your great testing about this problem. I'll try with a second JD installation. What speed are you using for keep2share to get files almost crc error free?

Hi, don't know how to provide the logID, but i paste in the previous post (https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...2&postcount=21) the content of the log file with one sample.
I don't have any firewall or antivirus. I'm in South America like emilio.

Please post your log.
Also make sure your AV/FW is not blocking JD/Java.

Yeah Im getting this issue too, and using the Linux version, so no 3rd party AV or Firewall.
But really bad failure rate @ CRC fails on K2S.

@dslava
logs do not contain a single download let alone one that corrupted. we need logs from a download session that failed.

Hi, this is the result of my ping test to k2s during 10 days.

I made evaluation of average ping with 10 packages sent every hour. The data shows the average ping and average percent of lost packages.

The minimum average latency is 230ms per request, and got lost packages at every hour of day.

My solution was to instantiate a new jd to only have k2s links and limit the speed to 20Kbps. It seems to work right, i've downloaded the heavy files that made problem. I don't know why this works, my suspect is about downloading threads. What do you think?

Hi,
those who have issues with crc, please provide the following information
1.) ISP
2.) OS
3.) Firewall/AV
4.) a traceroute to k2s page (google how to trace a route).
Maybe we can find something in common.

Please note that since i instantiated a new JD to use only k2s links, i don't have a single crc error. It's not a JD problem 'cause i tried to download using FF and got the same result. I think there is something with connection lost and packages lost and resuming files from that server. Since i use 20Kbps to that host only all worked fine.

There is something too with the time, using the geo location, that server is in Netherlands, i have -6,5Hr difference from them. My best ping times comes from the night right there. When i have 1pm, they have 7.30pm. So, possibly is a low traffic time. Obviously that their server is sending files to all the world at every hour, but at this time of low use, we get best results.

It's possible to test giving more speed to k2s downloads at that times. I'll try setting 30Kbps with scheduler to see what happens.

Thanks for the information. More of those infos will help! I get bad/very bad speed myself in some tests. Will try to contact k2s support about it.
