This is not a bug.
If your url e.g. looks like "http:blabla.jpg?s=123" it might get truncated at ".jpg" as this is a file-extension.

I understand that you can't add any url, but it's a "Standard Hosting Any link" that has no extension!

It's like, for example, I would add a hosting link with one at the end &=X
here.
