Feature request: show total size of selected packages
Hi,
The idea is inspired by LibreOffice Calc. If you select an area of multiple cells, you get the total of all cells in the status bar. OK, not really all ... only the ones that contain a number. Anyway ... in JD2, you could show the total size of all selected packages in the "Package or Link Properties" at the bottom of the list. Enable the overview (same way you enable the properties window) and it will show you the size of your selection

Unfortunately, it turned out that the overview does not help me, because it does not hanlde mirror links correctly.
If a package contains e.g. ShareOnline and Uploaded. To links, the size shown in the overview is twice the size shown in the package list. If Oboom is there additionally, it's three times the size. The correct size in the package list indicates that the mirrors have been recognized correctly. Depending on where the package comes from, it contains all mirrors right from the start. I don't want to delete all mirror links, because sometimes a link can not be downloaded from ShareOnline and I need to fall back to a mirror link (yes, it happened today ... "Server Offline ?" for a few links). |

OK.
How will I know if an update via the usual JD update procedure contains the core update ? |

core updates require restart, and notification is given by title bar (Text) and toolbar (update button flashing).

Yes, I've seen the flashing and I also always restarted when required. But I always thought this is for all kinds of updates (with or without core).
