Settings?
My settings tab is totally blank (after an update screwed it up), I found a solution on here about deleting the TMP file but that does nothing either, what else am I supposed to do?
Also before this, I was having a lot of trouble getting any links to work on anything, via using Simply-Debrid, so is that a JD problem or a SD problem? |

O.K. tried that and it didn't work either, any other suggestions?
What did the update even do aside from break stuff? lol Last edited by Rich; 08.02.2013 at 05:41. |

Same here...
I know it's Beta but does anyone fire up the software before sending out an update ? JD used to be a good product, but lately it just seems to be falling apart... WIN 7 64 Bit Java 1.6.0_31 Last edited by As2007; 08.02.2013 at 09:48. |

I had the same problem some minutes ago. I´ve updated JDownloader 2 Beta and after updating the settings tab was blank and on rightclick the "archive" point was gone. So i´ve downloaded the JDownloader 2 Beta Installer again and installed it over the old Beta and let JD2 Beta update again.
After that the problem was gone. Maybe it helps somebody. |

Please run a manual update. If the problem still exists, contact me for a teamviewer session!

I ran a manual update (by clicking on the update icon within JD2). It detected a new version and installed it. However, after the restart, the same issues are seen:
- Blank Settings page - No Archive option on right-click menu - No auto-extraction. So the fix didn't work. These are the same issues as before the manual update (i.e. after the automatic update). It may be that rerunning it from the installer and then updating fixes it, but I don't feel like trying right now as it's quite late where I live. I restarted the program again with no change. I tried another update and this time the program says that I have the latest version. I'm also seeing an unusual number of "connection problems" with this version. It seems like the timeout settings might have been changed (or the earlier settings are just not being used). I'm using Win XP SP3 32-bit and Java 1.70 (latest update). It's about 1AM now (in Tokyo), so I was going to turn in. If it won't take too long, maybe we can do it, but I need a link to a how-to post, as I've never done it before.

Ok, thanks. Just pick a time for the session. Anything reasonable in local hours should be fine with me.
Unless it gets fixed before then |

I went to the download section and all I can find are installers for the actual programme:
http://jdownloader.org/download/index So where is the updater stuff? |

Installers are in the BETA FAQ in the BETA forum and in my signature down below

Maybe I'm being dumb here but all I can see is the installers for the programmes still, not the manual update thing, is anyone here who can do a teamviewer session? I read that they were being offered, and I'm online right now.

@Rich I can do teamviewer if you like
Usually, a manual Update is all you have to do.

To do a manual update, just click on the "Globe" icon at the top of the JD2 program screen (with the blue and red arrows around it). It will check for a newer version and offer to install it for you.

Yeah that made no difference to me, but coalado managed it by teamviewer somehow, he did a lot of things, but it seems fixed now so yay :D

Yeah but when I did that, it didn't make a difference, I swear!
p.s. you did a number of other things too, clicking and deleting stuff, that's what I mean. All appreciated of course Last edited by Rich; 08.02.2013 at 21:54. |

Did you try to delete TMP subfolder or TMP/extensioncache?
And then run Updader.jar? |

Good News: We finally found the problem.
JD will ask you to install an important update. Please do it! Afterwards everything will work fine.
