indexof
Good morning. I'm pretty new on JD and I need to fix a simple (maybe) problem.
I need to add a sequential number before all the files name I'm downloading in a single session. I've read some thread about that argument, but probably I'm still wrong. I've create a new rules and I 've checked only two voices: Matches on any File or Link and ignores conditions below and Filename into this field I've written <jd:indexof><jd:orgfilename> then I've tested and I've obtained only this: <jd:indexof>filename What's wrong? What is missing in the rules? Thanks to all those who want to help me. Lode |

Thank you for your quick reply.
Now, after a lot of test, I've discovered that this rule doesn't work if you use the test link at the bottom of the rule's page, but work fine when you run it with real links. Then I've noticed that if you use the default rules the program install during setup(that I haven't disabled) the program divide all the links in a different folder and every link is numbered with '1'. How can i fix it? If I disable all this default rules, my rule seems to work fine but JD divide automatically the links in two different folder The links offine and the links online and use two different numeration. Can you help me? |

The "test link" at the bottom can only replace what is known and will signal matching rule with checkmark or failed icon. the tag is dynamic can gets replaced at later time, that's why it is still shown.

I need example links to tell you more. Most likely some links are offline with bad/no name and because of that auto grouping fails to find best package

Thank you again.
Probably I've solved the first step. Then I need another step to completely format the filename. I have to split the name in 2 parts and get only the last one. the name is always [first part alway different]/wordalwaythesame/[last part alway different] I need to add to the number, a space or a dot, and then the [last part of always different] Do you prefer I'll open a new thread? Or you can help me here? |

I can help here but best would be to create new thread to not mix topics.
Please either post example links into new thread or send them to support@jdownloader.org And explain with example(dummy) filename what you want to achieve. Should be possible via Packagizer rules on first sight
