Default keep2share clarification

I open a new thread because the existing ones about the well known issue of captcha and keep2share are labelled as "solved".

I understand that the problem started from google and that a solution would be to change the default browser (my standard is firefox) and/or use the JD extension.
The second possibility seems beyond me because you wrote that the captcha issue can be solved only if the JD extension is installed in FF52+ (not available for my old mac).

I tried to tell jd to open a different browser when captcha solving is needed by I cannot find how to do it. I checked under settings/captcha but I cannot find such an option. Can you help me?

I don't think this will solve the problem because, apparently, the captcha issue is there even if I try to download the file directly from the browser. It start a never ending loop of solving captchas and the presentation of new ones without any notice of "error". An issue limited to k2c

p.s. 1
JD extension works with my FF ("connection ok") but it slows down so much the system that I always use the standard application.

p.s. 2
I don't know if it just my system but when the captcha are about identifying "pictures", the only one that can be solved are those related to "street signs". Most of the others simply fade after I click the box
