Downloading stops after a short time
I have JD's schedule set to begin downloads at 11:15 PM every day. This has always worked fine in the past and appears to still be working. However, on Saturday night it did not start, even though all files to be downloaded had been transferred from the Linkgrabber tab to the Downloads tab.
Then, last night, downloading began as expected but stopped shortly after. I have no idea what is causing this. Here are my logs:

Please check your filesystem/drive
download aborts because java.io.IOException: The system cannot find the file specifie J:\Video\..... file is created and then *GONE* then could not mkdirs parentFile J:\Video SkipReasonException: INVALID_DESTINATION Looks like either issues with this drive or got mounted on different drive letter

Thanks Jiaz.
It appears Windows is ejecting the drive for some unknown reason. It runs normally when JD starts and then appears to dismount the drive. I checked the Event Viewer but that doesn't show the drive being ejected. It only shows errors when the driver concerned specifies a path that doesn't exist. And that same error appears over and over again. I will try again tonight and see what happens. |

Scan the drive/filesystem for errors and also check cable(if any) and maybe try different folder

USB attached drive by any chance? I've experienced this with windows os before. Somewhat unreliable interface.

Drive has been scanned. No errors found. The cable must be OK because I'm using the drive throughout the day without any issues. I download to several different folders on that drive. Indeed, if you look at those logs, you will see 2 target folders mentioned.
Yes raztoki, it is indeed a USB attached drive but like I said initially, it has worked perfectly for years. It is only the last 2 days that it appears to have been knocked out by Windows shortly after the downloads began. I will try again tonight. If it happens again, I will change the download folder to one of my internal partitions, then move the contents to the external drive later. |

Just to let you guys know, everything worked as normal last night so I guess it was just one of Windows many foibles. Thanks for your assistance all the same.

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe one of those *restart to fix* problems
