Cool Always working zippyshare + shareplace + yourfiles plugin4you

READ THAT, this thread is closed!
Old thread:
Spoiler:

Hey guys.
I know that the zippyshare (yourfiles/shareplace/remixshare too) plugin is mostly out of date, also if we release updates it only lasts some hours.
But i created this thread to give you a zippyshare plugin that should always work longer than the official one.
Here some instructions on how to install it.
This tutorial probably only for Windows users as the little script (.bat file) can't be started on other systems (right ?).

1.Download the archive with the plugin and the bat in.
You can find the downloadlink in the German Zippyshare Thread(scroll down to the end of the first post).

2.Unpack everything that's in the archive and copy it into your main-jdownloader programm folder (where the jdownloader.ex is also in).

3.Now you have a file called "Start JD.bat" in your jdownloader programm folder.
Doubleclick it to start jdownloader with the working plugin.
Note that if you don't always start your jdownloader using the Start JD.bat the plugin will be overwritten by the jd update and then it says "plugin out of date" again so don't forget to start it through the Start JD.bat.
You can also make a shortcut that goes to the Start JD.bat and place it on your desktop!

4.If the plugin get's out of date, just post into this thread!

@tunayx
Because these ones last longer and are not open source (ok probably you can decompile them easily).

There was a time when rapidshare fought hard against automated downloads. They struggled for a long time, but in the end they just gave up anyway. Prolly it cost them a fortune to pay programmers to just update their site with new defenses every once in a while.

IMO, if community has real interest in these hosts it doesn't matter if a plugin is open source or not, they will eventually give up

@Carbofos
rapidshare didn't give up.
They earn so much money with the premium accounts that they don't even have ads on their page.
In the "good old times" zippyshare gave everyone fullspeed but everyone had to enter captchas, now the free users get very very bad speed but they don' have to enter captchas.
Zippyshare will never give up there i am sure because they need the money of the ads to survive.

What I meant was, rapidshare gave up on captcha, cause it wasn't cost-effective. Instead they chose to cut free download speed and slot numbers while they don't care anymore whether download is manual or automated using such programs as JDownloader. I think so will do Zippyshare and others after more or less lengthy "open conflict" state, until they come to the same conclusion.

If I understand the situation with Zippyshare right, they seem to be watching JDownloader's development and update their site once the plugin is updated so it can't work. It's the same as Rapidshare, when they had their Captcha Crusade a while ago. They will need money to pay people to do their job, at the same time when JDownloader and plugin developers here aren't working to get paid, and that's why they (hoster) don't stand a chance

The problem with unofficial plugins was always relatively small user base, is it worth doing it for just a small group of users? Once their number becomes large enough, Zippyshare (or whatever other sharing host) will become aware of the plugin existence and will try to do their best again, same as with official plugin. What will happen then: either the development stops or moves to escape from their attention, what will mean temporary victory for the hoster, or it tires to keep up with hoster updates, that's where they'll start to realize how expensive war for themselves they've started. I'm not sure at all, that some imaginary increase of ads display would cover these expenses.

@Carbofos
Basically you're right BUT i am sure that zippy won't ever decrease the speed because thei're known for the good speed.
What they don't like are automated downloads (using jd) and for most hosters who don't like this it's easy to "win" the game because some little page-cjanges destroy the plugin

Hey,

thanks for the plugin. I can now download from zippyshare but i got a serious problem. Dunno if it happens to ya.

Try these links (rename hxxp with http):
hxxp://www21.zippyshare.com/v/23338306/file.html
hxxp://www28.zippyshare.com/v/38969094/file.html
hxxp://www24.zippyshare.com/v/60196482/file.html

And download them with JDownloader.

The problem is that JDownloader doesn't recognize them as .mp3. It could recognize them when i didn't apply psp's plugin but now JDownloader downloads them but don't recognize 'em as .mp3.

I need everytime to rename the files i downloaded to mp3, which as far as i know i downloaded 100 songs already.

Can someone or psp fix this, please?

Thanks in advance.

Fixed, you can find the new downloadlink in the German thread (as always).
Thanks for reporting, have fun!

I'm thinking about to work on a java application that lets you add and update unofficial plugins quite similar to a package manger. I'm thinking about to make it as safe as possible - so you'll probably have to trust gpg-keys before you download from a source. What do you think of that?

Cool

That would be brilliant!

If I remember well I read in a post by drbits that the plug-ins would/should be simplified and common code would/should migrate outside the plug-ins. Such measures would indeed make your idea easier to implement.

You get my full support!

I'm actually not sure if i ll continue making these plugins because i don't have the knowledge to make them resistant against their java script changed so i am running against their changes which just makes no sense, also it's not easy to update them because every time i update them i have to export, pack, upload and add the new link here!
I seriously need help of one of you guys or a experienced programmer to make this work for long!

I already have got some nice ideas to speed up/automatize this whole procedure. I'm thinking about to code a JD-plugin where you can add URLs that provide updates for unofficial plugins. This plugin then will feed the standard update procedure with these additional URLs. But I didn't figured out yet how the JD update procedure works. And I don't know whether jiaz or coalado find this idea bad. Of course there would be some arrangements (like warning dialogs) to make clear that no one's taking responsibility for these unofficial and maybe dangerous plugins. I would really like it even if these plugins are binary since then everyone could provide their plugins easily.

@psp
I will help you after I wrote all exams (in some weeks...)
And believe me, under linux you can simply script yourself very handy tools that can automize almost everything.

In the German version of this thread is just fixed shareplace.
This was the last inofficial fix for shareplace/yourfiles from me because it's too much work for me to always fix that crappy stuff.
I ll still be fixing Zippyshare but i am also thinking about stopping that.
