Not so much the complete stats but it would be nice if I was told when I try to download a link I've already down loaded.
![]() What with Megaupload folders and DLC archives, it's easy to dowload what you've already downloaded a month ago. ![]() Thanks. |

I agree.
I just had same suggestion, to keep in new tab (maybe called history) downloaded links with info (download date etc..). It could be useful if lost downloaded material or just for statistics... |

I'd really be very happy with a 'you've already downloaded this!' pop-up when I try to add a link I've already done.
Or maybe a notice with the link in the link grabber, simular to the one that warns that it's already cued. It would be nice to have a history, so you can fish out a link and pass it along, or just have a good idea of what your stats are. |

Like I said a history would be nice, but a warning that I'm not repeating what I've already done is what I really want.

That feature already exists when you use the Linkgrabber.
Links that already exist in the download queue get an orange colour and a message "Already on Download List" appears in the Status column. |

I'm taking of keeping track of having done a link a month ago.
I don't know how long you leave the stuff that is over and done with in your download list window, but most people tend to delete the done jobs. What I want is a warning that it's been downloaded already, EVEN THOUGH I've already deleted the entry in the download list and moved the file away from my computer. So this feature DOES NOT exist, which could have already have guessed from my earlier line of: Quote:
What I'm asking for is simular BUT NOT THE SAME. |

Then you need to wait for the "Download History" feature or do as I do. I keep all my links and their download status in a text file. I search this file before I add a new link.

time to have this feature. A separate history tab is necessary, come on.

This feature has been requested for several months and we have indications that it will be available to users at some time in the future. For now, the way to save history is to keep completed packages (do not delete them). JD can hold around 1000 packages and 10000 links without significant slowing.
I personally do not expect this feature to appear in one of the next two major releases. |
