Default Depositfiles HTTPS links problem ? HTTPS links not working with Jdownloader 2

i use Jdownloader 2

My ISP somehow blocks depositfiles http links , however when http are edited to https, https links work fine in browser(firefox) .

For my ISP block http depositfiles links , so they dont work in jdownloader2 also, as same as in my browser.

However when they are made https by editing them they work in browser.

So, i tried to put some depositfiles https links in jdownloader2 , thinking if https works in Firefox , then they should work in jdownloader2

BUT Jdownloader2 gave me "Plugin Outdated?" messsage in Active task for HTTPS links
same too happens with Jdownloader (earlier version)

For example try this link - depositfiles.com/files/jqhkj1vxi
in jdownloader2 as **External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Please Help !!!!

Hi
Please post a log so we can try to find the error.
Note that JD internally changes depositfiles **External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Here's the log for JD 1 , it shows same "Plugin outdated?" message for JD 1

as it's shown for JD 2 also , i've JD 1 and JD 2 both , i think error message is common for both JD 1 and JD 2 for Depositfiles HTTPS links

the request where this happens, isn't encrypted..
<html><head<title></title></head><body> <!--This is a comment. Comments are not displayed in the browser--> </body></html>
so injection from ISP or government filters / even proxy programs can happen.

We saw this in another thread recently no? are you using ultrasurf?

Hi guys,

today i tried to download with J1 and my premium account but i couldn't 'cos an error message appeared: my account premium is invalid cos my plugin is obsolete..

J1 is updated correctly

Don't know what to do....:outch:

No i am not using any ultrasurf , just Normal Firefox , Normal JD 1 n Normal JD 2

n NO i m not using any VPNs , Tor or Proxies either . I connect direct to internet

In my normal Firefox , depositfiles HTTP links don't work (shows blank page) , BUT HTTPS works (depositfiles site gets loaded n download page gets displayed in browser)

So direct HTTP depositfiles were not working either with JD 1 n JD 2

So i thought HTTPS should work with JD 1/2 , just like it does for normal Firefox browser

BUt it didn't giving this "Plugin outdated?" message thing .

I hope u understand what i m trying to say !

i made to provoke the error happen again n this is what i got in Log like ---

http://jdownloader.net:8081/pastebin/112084

Seeeee !!! i dont understand this part , but it does gives me an error , n idk why ?
even if the Depositfiles https link is accessible n active n not dead .

----------------

Before this ISP block , Normal HTTP depositfiles links use to work jsut fine with JD 1 n JD 2.

However HTTPS just doesn't seems to work for JD 1 n JD 2 just like the way it works in Firefox. i Hope u got me !

same as before,

you see the last request before the error right?

http://depositfiles.com/get_file.php...nse=but+tomswe
----------------Request------------------
GET /get_file.php?

is not done in https, so its open to injection/alteration by other applications or even ISP

Most hosters while allowing you initiate the pre download steps in https, at times do not give you the finallink within that protocol, and here depositfiles is switching back to http for the last step. This saves them CPU cycles and network over heads.

We would need to make changes to the plugin to enforce https on that final step also.. but would need to test this at least first.

I assume you're premium customer from what I could tell..

Private message me your user:pass and I'll sort out the https for you

btw I put your log into pastebin and merged your posts together.

Now it may be as @pspzockerscene said of that -

and also over this thread made by other user too -

[Solved] HTTPS no longer supported in JD
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37368

-----------

it may be that since HTTPS is no longer directly supported by JD 1 n JD 2 ,
i.e. it's first converted to HTTP and then tries to make the download happen
with HTTP. BUT as since my ISP has blocked HTTP (of depositfiles) so download doesn't happens/begins and May be that's why JD 1/2 reports into
an error. it may be this way .

if So , i kindly request the Developers of JDownloader 1/2 to make HTTPS links work directly with JD 1/2. i mean NO conversion of HTTPS into HTTP,
even if For

I'll change it once the next MAJOR update is released.
Try it make happen, OR atleast give the users an option in settings, whether to make Conversion of HTTPS into HTTP, or use direct HTTPS n direct HTTP
seperately. i mean execution of JD programming code/algorithm process for download process as per this Choice.

n For it may not be only just mine problem, it cud be problem for lots of JD users like in other thread "from China" .

btw I m from "India" although and there might be a lot many more JD users if from China n India, facing this sort of common problem.

n cuz of that one has to almost download every file one-by-one like manually , which makes/renders JD then almost non-working like.

and trust me there r a lot of users of internet in China n India together with a big internet subscriber base like.

So , Developers i hope sincerely ,

u'll Look into this HTTPS problem thing soon.

Kind Regards !

i think it may be the final link or may be even if not .

n i think , it's not depositfiles site is switching back to http for the last step
(reason - cuz if it wud 've switched , it wud 've done that similarly for the final link in the Firefox also , switching it into http for Firefox , But For HTTP link/protocol over Firefox is completely blocked by ISP , so in that case Download over Firefox using HTTPS should not start/proceed , if depositfiles switches HTTPS into HTTP.)

it may be just JD internal process/algorithm switching HTTPS into HTTP by converting it like @pspzockerscene said n as HTTP is blocked by ISP , so it cud be the reason for JD 1/2 giving "plugin outdated" error for then Blocked HTTP links (converted from HTTPS).

@pspzockerscene , @raztoki

Like for the other thread
[Solved] HTTPS no longer supported in JD at
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37368

Can u people - Add a plugin setting to enable the usage of SSL
for Depositfiles HTTPS
(just like u did for hotfile HTTPS)
to work in the JDownloader 2 (BETA) version.

i saw my "plugin settings" in JD 2 ,
but it doesn't have any - Use secure Communication over SSL checkbox option.

There is an alternative here where you can use the other depositfiles domain (.org/dfiles.eu/ru) etc to get the download link. Between, the same issue is happening with uploaded.to as well, where the https links are working while http isnt.

1.JD needs to use the same links in every plugin to maintain a good stability.
2.If you want an HTTPS setting, tell me.
Send me your premium account via PM and post some links here, then I'll try to help you guys

@pspzockerscene

Yes i need an HTTPS setting for depositfiles

n i don't 've premium account dear , like i had also told @raztoki too in a PM

-------------------------------

these HTTPS links are just links that i randomly take of from some forums .

Like i told before , for as my ISP blocks HTTP depositfiles links now , However somehow HTTPS depositfiles links works in Firefox or ny normal browser.

Thus There are 2 cases :

1) so sometimes, if i get some HTTPS depositfiles links over some forum, i take them as it is as HTTPS.

2) yet sometimes, if they are as HTTP over some forum,
then i have to manually change/edit a HTTP link into HTTPS myself , to make it work ,
for downloading via Firefox and then Firefox loads depositfiles download page n lets me download by that way.

similarly, i was trying with JD 1/2 with these 2 cases :

1) if it's a HTTPS , copy links directly to JD 1/2 .

2) if it's HTTP, {n since HTTP is blocked by my ISP}
so i've to edit them in notepad as HTTPS then to make them work (just like they wud do in firefox) , n then copy those edited links now with HTTPS in front to JD 1/2

so as JD lets me download just as the way Firefox.

---------------

My case is as similar to guy in this thread with hotfile :

[Solved] HTTPS no longer supported in JD
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37368

like @xwu said

In short Similarly i m in India , depositfiles HTTP is blocked . So One way to download things from depositfiles is that - either they should already be in HTTPS , or if they are in HTTP then i 've to edit them into HTTPS to make them work in firefox or any normal browser . For both 2 cases. it's that simple.

------------

n the link i gave u was not a premium HTTPS link, it was originally a normal HTTP link [2nd case i specified] which i've to make them into HTTPS , inorder to access depositfiles download page over Firefox otherwise.

n in 2nd case, HTTP file transfer happens over HTTPS.

n i dont take premium HTTPS links in which account holder denies permission to download for free users.

Added a plugin setting for that.
Please check the plugin settings for depositfiles.com after the next update
