Default [Over done] Deleting completed links shows the dialog box again

Deleting completed links shows the dialog box again..

Hello why is this stupid problem come back again?

And this time I can't find
showdeletelinksdialogoption in advance settings..

please dev, we do not want this stupid dialog box appear each time..
-disable it or put a
-checkbox - I do not want to see this again.

When we delete stuff we don't want it done permanently from hdd.
If we do, we would use explorer for that!!!!

How many times do we need to say it?
Just let us use the program without treating us like babies..
by popping up these stupid annoying dialog boxes..

the new dialog says i can set the option so that that dialogue won't show up again. but where is this option and how is it called. Previously there was an option called "GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Show Delete Links Dialog Option". It's gone now.

Here are the Screenshots (german):

second dialog:

expert settings filtered with "dialog":

So at this time there is no way to delete downloaded links without confiramation except for pressing STRG+DEL

Sorry, I don't know it at the moment.
Please visit our supportchat between 9-18 o clock, German working days and contact jiaz/coalado and ask them.

I only know, that coalado changed this yesterday.
In menu manager for Delete menu items there are new options:
<Bypass the "Really?" dialog>
<Delete Files from Harddisk, too>

I didn't set them, because I don't need these options, therefor I don't know how they work.
I don't know, whether it's enough to set them for one delete menu item, and then all will be the same, or have to set for every delete menu item.

Maybe it worth a try.

I think you need to do it for each delete

really annoying, since they reset the menu after each update

thanks, bici-boci! That worked. Didn't know that menu

But I think there could be a better place for that setting.

You can't set this option for

-delete links - finished

Also need to set this option for each delete
-delete
-delete submenu

please just give us one master option/setting like in advance settings like before
-showdeletelinksdialogoption

We do not want to be bugged by these stupid dialogs..

Delete any links in linkgrabber
No way to disable this..
-Are you sure you want to do this? Delete selected links

There needs to be a way to permanently disable these stupid confirmation boxes..
cos it is driving me nuts..

Prior to the most recent update, there was none of these confirm boxes, or we could disable all of it from advance settings.
Now we need to do it for each menu item.
And some can't be disable at all.

Also it is likely the menu settings will be reset after each update anyways.

I too came here looking for a way to remove this option and to not show the dialog at all.

There should be an option to set a default action from those shown presently BUT to have the option to disable the prompt via a check-box.

It would also be ideal to have the option show again following any updates that change the behaviour of the setting to ensure that the user's preference isn't altered to a state that causes data loss of their links and/or files.

Besides that, why add an apparent safety feature (appears to me to be a cumbersome 'delete confirmation' type dialog) like this and then have it's default button set to the un-safe option of delete and not cancel as it defeats part of the purpose of the dialog appearing.

The solution is very simple

Only delete the links from the JD but not permanently delete from HDD.

If we want permanent, we would use Explorer.

Now the developer can disable any confirmation dialog boxes, cos it won't be necessary anymore.

that isnt at all what we are talking about.

that user is asking for an option to set something other than just removing the links from the list.

what this thread is talking about is that the dialog comes up EVEN though a default has been set. simply put, the dialog is annoying and unnecessary.

following on from what madmax2, pressing delete or another such method of removing links, completed or otherwise, should be silent because a default action has been set already so there is no need to have a dialog come up requesting confirmation of an action for each and every link/package.

Yes

the point of this thread is to be able to disable all future confirmation dialog with regards to All DELETE prompts..

It f%$#king annoying....

Previously there was an option to do this in Advance settings, which has since between removed..

I don't want to be bug by this stupid confirmation dialog each time I delete something..

I would have said this definitely more friendly, however the main concern isn't too wrong.

My suggestion like in a previous version: a checkbox "use this setting for all further actions - and never ask again" or something like that in advanced settings.

I think 99% of all users would like to remove only link-packages in jD and not any files from hard disk. So, maybe "remove" is a better description than "delete".

While I don't like the dialog box either, I find it a little strange that users are complaining about the confirmation dialog always appearing when deleting links, but when a user deletes a file via M$ Explorer, you get a confirmation dialog there as well, each and every time, with no way to turn it off (AFAIK).

Obviously there is a minor difference, in that these are only links and not files.

I've done the above setting, so the next time a download is completed, we'll see if it works.
