Default JDownloader2 has skins or themes?

Sorry, I can't find any alternative skins in JDownloader2.

I find the color of the selected packages (light blue) too faint, I can't distinguish it well from the rest of the packages and files.

Can't find an option to change colors, too

Also the font in the LinkGrabber and Downloads windows is too small. Can I make it a bit bigger?

Thanks

Hello,

Settings > Advanced settings > in the search field type the word "laf", you will see the customizable colors.

Hi,

Advanced setting: SyntheticaSettings: Font Scale Factor

P.S.: Restart JD2 is required.

Thank you very much Lram32, your help was very useful !!

All-right, if like me you have a dark Windows skin, then it require some editing.

- First you need to install the Synthetica Themes, since Jdowloader GUI design has been coded for Synthetica.

If you are using Windows 7, Open Windows Command Shell and past this command :
Code:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -jar "C:\Users\Duccino\AppData\Local\JDownloader 2.0\JDownloader.jar" -install synthetica-themes

- Now that the themes are installed, let's pick one.
Go into JDownload avanced settings and search for this value
Code:
GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Look And Feel Theme
and choose the one you prefer on the list.
A preview of those themes.
Spoiler:

- Now you just need to edit the other colors manually.

Default Nothing happens!?

Hi Lram32

Thanx for the great post. I have followed your instructions to the letter and everything seems to have installed correctly. I selected BlackEye theme, restarted and JDownloader loaded but without the theme.

I've Googled the problem quite extensively and tried many thing but whatever I do JDownloader relenlessly restarts without a theme applied. I even found a post suggesting that a line should ge added to the look and feel "classes" but that didn't work either.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong? I would arreciate any thoughts you may have.

Many thanks for your time

Ceek2007

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
JDownloader build date: 30 August 2014
Synthetica themes are present in the "Look and feel" section of JDownloader's "About" screen

Hi @ceek2007

Strange, in order to make a test I installed the themes from the scratch and seems to be working. My suggestion is join at support chat and contact coalado.

Best regards,

Hi Lram32

Many thanks for your reply.

I have now got everything working as it should. I completely reinstalled everything from scratch and hey presto! The only thing I can see thats different from my old and new installation is that the JDownloader install directory is now called "JDownloader 2.0" and for some reason it was called "JDownloader v2.0" in my old installation.

Now off to tweak some of the laf color settings.

Thanks again

After a few days shows me JD at the start that I need my synthetica license. How can I uninstall synthetica again?
