Default Downloaded files disappear

I have several files that were previously downloaded. However, not all the files in the package were downloaded. Now one of those files has downloaded but the others in that directory are gone. I suspect that the new file overwrote the the older directory. If the directory already exists, shouldn't JLD create a different directory? For example: if there is already a directory named "Directory" why doesn't JLD create a new directory and name it "Directory01" or something similar instead of deleting the older directory and creating a new one with the same name?

Cool

I agree with you that before creating a directory, jD should first check its existence.

Could you recover your files?

what does happen?
jd does not delete directories...there is no line of code to do that
jd can only delete/reset files....but not folders

i also need a logfile to be able to say more

i can only tell that jd does not delete files itself and cannot delete folders....reset and jdunrar and file exists setting are the only way to delete files, not folders

Cool

Is it possible that the directory wasn't deleted, but all the files in it?

I've a configuration setting "Remove all finished downloads". I've disabled it because I don't fully understand it. Its options are "Never", "Immediately", "At Startup" and "When package is ready".

@Alski: do you use jd-Unrar?

@remi this option just tells jd when to remove the links from the list...it will not touch the files on harddisk, just oon the list

Cool

At the end all simple customers like me will understand all the features ...

I would suggest to call this setting "Remove finished downloads from download queue" in order to avoid all confusion.
