Default jre or jdk !!!

hi,

i already have JD2 on my desktop bt wish to install it also on my laptop ... i have some silly ? plz do clear my doubts ... thanx

+ install JRE or JDK before jd2 ???
+ after clicking on webinstaller, is the file size so big (200mb) ??? (coz am on limited bandwith)

the standard installers come with packaged java that's placed inside the jd install path, so you don't need to provide it yourself.

in respects to your question about what java, you only need jre (java runtime environment), jdk is (java development kit) is for developing/developers. But as explained above java is provided by the installers

You can start JDownloader with both. But as raztoki already explained, no need to install java yourself

You can simply copy the existing installation from computer a to b
You can find its location in About dialog
