Question Having trouble with JD2 Connection Manger & multiple direct gateways under linux

I am using the native linux version of the newest JD2

My problem lies with being able to use more than 1, or seemly more than the default one the system is routing internet out via.

For the record this all worked perfectly under Windows 7.

My VPN provider allows multiple connections per account (6), I tend to use 4 to have connections available for my phone.
Linux assigns these as tun0, tun1, tun2 and tun3.
Linux also reuses the lowest numbered "tun" available.
I have added these to the JD2 Connection Manager as Direct Gateways and disabled No Proxy.

When JD2 is trying to download, only the first VPN connection is able to be used the others all show problems. So generally tun0 works, tun1-3 goes red.

This is further complicated by if I disconnected the VPN on tun0, tun1 becomes the internet gateway for the whole system and works fine within JD2. That is tun0 goes red, tun1 goes green and tun2-3 red.

I have tried using both the interface name and the interface IP address when adding the direct gateway. The interface name was sufficient under Windows 7.

I am willing to try anything to get this working as it did on windows 7!

Thanks.

That's the cause. You have to disable gateway redirect, so the OS can choose the correct route/gateway by using different source/device IP address.

Try again with disabled *redirect gateway*
In case it still doesn't work, I would suggest we'll do a teamviewer session to check this. contact us via support@jdownloader.org
